Ritual of Karma Tryazon Review

Thanks to @Tryazon and @RitualsCosmetics, I was treated to three wonderful products that turn any shower into a spa treatment! I have tried products from the Ritual of Sakura and Ritual of Ayurveda collections, and I have loved their quality and fragrances, so I was anxious and excited to be able to try this new line.

I was sent three full-sized products, a foaming shower gel, body scrub and body cream. I was first impressed by the presentation: each is elegantly packaged, the scrub and cream in heavy, impressive glass containers, and they are full containers, not small samples in a large jar.

I was not surprised that Ritual of Karma products are very high-quality, with a lovely, relaxing fragrance, which the website describes as

I love the way that the foaming bath gel puffs up into a mound of lather from just a little bit, so the canister will last a long time.

The body cream is so rich and creamy and luxurious, and it spreads smoothly and feels clean to the touch afterwards.

But my favorite was the body scrub, with sugar crystals in a rich, softening cleanser. I wasn't sure that I would like using a scrub, but this one changed my mind. The fragrance of the scrub was much stronger and lasted longer than the other two products, and it softened not only the tough, dry parts, but left all of my skin feeling clean, soft and pampered. And, used together, the three are a pampering, relaxing and decadent treat!!

I am so happy that I had a chance to try this set. Rituals collections turn every shower into a spa experience, and I think that I found the collection that is the most relaxing, calming and enjoyable. Last time I was privileged to try a Rituals set for Tryazon  Reviews, I was so impressed that I bought everyone a #RitualsUSA travel set for Christmas! Hopefully they have enjoyed theirs as much as I have, so I can spoil them with another set this year!!

Thank you, #RitualsCosmetics  and #Tryazon for this chance to enjoy another fragrance family and for a relaxing spa break from 2020!!!

Thing 6 - Curation!

Curation! was the title of Joyce Valenza's keynote address and workshop at the 2012 NYLA/SSL Conference, and she introduced the word to hundreds of librarians in one swoop! I have to admit, I was feeling pretty self-satisfied at the time; after all, I had a fat and happy Delicious file, full of handy sites for all occasions. Why, I even searched for useful links through Delicious, adding and sharing with colleagues. Now I see that I am like the old librarian who collects hundreds of back issues of magazines, certain that they will "come in handy some day!". Curation is so much more of a Web3.0 tool: creating web content more than gathering it. So I gave Scoop. It another try. Diigo had scared me away with its daily updates in my email, and Pinterest is my guilty pleasure/personal-rather-than-educational site. I began following other Scoop-ers, three topics, and added a button to my toolbar. I even connected it to my Twitter feed, so that I can post Scoops there...

Thing 7: Podcasting and Screencasting

I am afraid that I approached this Thing with a little less enthusiasm than I should. You see, I am familiar with, and love ScreenR, ever since it helped me publish ALL of the 3rd graders' Blabberize Biography projects on one, easy to view page . I tried AudioBoo this week, as a test for an upcoming project: listen to ‘Test’ on Audioboo I am excited about the project, but not about AudioBoo. The students will be recording Book Reviews, and we will try to link them to the Online Library Catalog. With AudioBoo, they can only post one picture. Last year we used GarageBand to record reviews with 4th graders, and the result was less than satisfactory. The students spent more time struggling with the technology than they did learning about the book, or enjoying the project. The process strangled the project. We have decided this year to go low-tech, and use PhotoStory for this project. The students can post a few pictures about the book (the teacher wants 5 or mo...

Zesty Paws Oatmeal Anti-itch Dog Shampoo

This winter has been tough on our little pups; the bitter cold outside and dry heating inside have dried out their coats and fur. Most shampoos clean, but we found one with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera that also softens and soothes.      I love the description on the back of the bottle - it sounded like just the shampoo we needed. But then, they all claimed to work, and all they did was clean surface dirt.  But I have to say that I am impressed; the shampoo smells great (one pup even tried to taste it!) and it lathers well. We haven’t had a chance to try more than once in the test period, but so far it seems to deep-clean better, and to soothe the flakey skin. Pups are not only clean, but softer! She may not look like it here, but Kenzie feels so much better, now that her skin isn't dry and itchy, and her coat is soft and clean. It washed away the dandruff on  other doggies, and worked well on all types of coats. ZestyPaws makes a conditioner, too,...
